TV : Around Palmerston goes to HPA
Around Palmerston has been an enduring part of the Northern Territory Television landscape for many years. In that time the Southern Cross segment has done features on numerous businesses, charities and events in Palmerston and it's surrounding areas.

The Territory Regional Weekly was on board this week with Palmerston Regional Business Association stalwart and veteran Around Palmerston Wayne Zerbe as he filmed a segment for the HPA Open Day.

HPA Incorporated is a non government organisation that provides services to people with an intellectual disability and mental illness. Services are provided in Darwin and Palmerston and the rural area to people over 16 years old.

Founded in 1963 by the late Harold Garner, HPA Incorporated currently supports 65 people in our employment service and 40 people in accomodation services.

The segment was filmed at Ausdesigns which provides a unique range of practical and decorative products featuring stunning indigenous art and exclusive aboriginal designs printed on 100% colour-fast, machine washable cotton.

Ausdesigns has an extensive showroom with a wide range of fabric items and a large workshop. The range includes bags, conference napery, gifts and souvineers.

Ausdesigns and fellow HPA Business Kokoda Industrieds held a special Open Day on Wednesday the 11th of November.

Kokoda Industries makes pallets, crates, garden stakes, edging and benches. The Southern Cross segment has done features on the Red Cross, The Worlds Greatest Shave, St John Ambulance, Rotary Mental Health and Relay for Life.
