In 1993 Glenn toured Victoria with mates Russell Gilbert and Jimeoin for the purposes of making a documentary on Stand Up Comedy. The idea initiated by Glenn, titled ‘Standing On The Road’ was shown on the 7 Network to great acclaim.

Uncle Arthur’s Bedtime Stories was Glenn’s first venture into the world of book publishing and ‘Cinderella’ is the first in a series of three fractured fairy tales.
Glenn was also a regular on the popular TV show The Panel. He gained a big following by playing Kel on Kath & Kim on ABC TV.
As a stand up comedian, Glenn enjoyed performing at popular comedy venues in both Melbourne and Sydney. Glenn was to move into television where he is well known as a performer/writer for a number of television's top rating comedy sketch shows including: Russell Coight's All Aussie Adventure, The Comedy Company (Network 10), Fast Forward, Full Frontal and Jimeoin (all Seven Network).
Whilst Glenn performed a great many characters throughout these shows, his most prominent and notable one was Uncle Arthur.
We spoke to Glenn about Australian Comedy, Characters and creativity.
We started by asking about the inspiration behind characters such as Uncle Arthur and Rusell Coight. Glenn said "That's an easy one. Uncle Arthur was inspired by my Father. Russel Coight was an interesting character that we workshopped and developed for television."

We asked Glenn if the characters had had their time or if they could be recycled and used again. Glenn said "That's an interesting question. Dame Edna Everidge has shown that a really good character can last for decades. I think that it is important though that you look at each character and how relevant they are. You need to trust your instincts and try to leave on a high note. The writing has to be good."
We asked about working with Mick Molloy and Jeff Stilson on the recent tour. "Working with these two is great fun. Mick is everything that you would expect him to be backstage. Doing stand up is always exciting.
There was a Q and A session at the end of the night which allowed for some audience interaction."
We asked about the possible effects of the new free to air channels on Australian Comedy. Glenn said "This should open up quite a few avenues for new programs and for new performers to get a chance to air their work. Prime time is very competitive and you need to have success very quickly to sustain a show. I think it will be a good thing as it will give more people opportunities. "
