Territory writers are being encouraged to enter the 2011 Northern Territory Literary Awards with entries open from today, 8 September 2010 to 28 February, 2011.
Northern Territory Library Director Jo McGill said following the outstanding entries received for the Awards in 2010, the Northern Territory Literary Awards will again offer the Darwin Festival Script Award and the Birch Carroll and Coyle Screenwriting Award along with the six other categories.
“The 2010 winner of the Darwin Festival Script Award playwright Mary Anne Butler presented a playreading of her NT Literary Award winning script Dragons as a Darwin Festival event in late August, 2010,” Ms McGill said.
“The Territory is home to some fantastically talented writers and the Northern Territory Literary Awards offer a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their diverse talents.”
