104.1 Territory FM has swapped its studios for the old tourist information kiosk in Darwin’s Smith Street Mall.

Every Wednesday Daryl Manzie hosts Territory Talk and from December, James and Ali from the Charlie D breakfast show will also call the kiosk home.

Station manager Peter Perrin said the new station location was a great way of interacting with the community.

“People stop for a chat, have a look at the show as it goes to air, they check out the guests and I think still get a buzz from seeing live radio being produced,’’ Mr Perrin said.

“Darwin City Council has given us permission to use the kiosk indefinitely or until the Mall redevelopment commences.

“Mind you, the Council may have an issue with getting Manzie to vacate as he is quite partial to the cappuccino strip.

“The Mall is definitely the heart of the city and who knows, if our broadcasts continue proving to be popular we might have a permanent studio there”.
